Letter Source: This letter appears to have been sent from IP 65.54.249.19 in Redmond, Washington, not Nigeria. The email address may have been forged. Some aspects of the Internet path were incorrect. We cannot tell you where it really came from, except that it may very well have been sent from Nigeria as it claims, where Internet scams are a family tradition. We can tell you two things: 1. Shell Oil Company, one of the world's largest oil companies, does not need foreign representatives to process payments of any kind. You can be assured that the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Shell Oil, who is not named Tellis Frank, does not recruit employees. The corporation has a huge Personnel (Human Resources) Department that takes care of such things. 2. The same IP was used to send out another fake job offer, same scam, from "Martin Chemicals, Ltd." supposedly located in the UK. Go HERE to read the letter. The IP was blacklisted by Dayo Web Hosting: scroll down THIS PAGE. It was used to send out a (Nigerian) lottery scam letter: read THIS. And lastly, it was used to send out a standard Nigerian Scam Letter in German: scroll down HERE.
