NOTE: How to use the World Time Zone map: On several pages you will find a link to WorldTimeZone.com. This is so you can compare where the letter says it's from with where it's actually from. You see, no matter what the letter says, there is always a time stamp to be found. For instance:
This database letter's IP (Internet Provider address) is in Sydney, Australia. But Sydney is in the +1000 Time Zone. See the -0800 highlighted in the sample? That's the Time Zone where the author of the letter is sitting. The closest that Time Zone gets to Australia is Pitcairn Island. Out in the middle of Pacific Ocean. So the Bad Guy is probably in Western Canada or on the US West Coast. You will find numbers at the top of the map, and letters at the bottom. The numbers at the top - [-1, 0, +1, +2, etc.] - indicate how far removed that time zone is from Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) which is listed as the "0" time (see Fig. 1 below). By clicking on the different numbers, you will be led to a page that lists the countries in that time zone. You can see how it works right now by clicking on the numbers in Fig. 1. NOTE: I configured the links so that each country list will open in a new window. The letters at the bottom of the map provide the same information as the numbers at the top. (Fig. 1) .. -3 hours .. -2 hours.. -1hour .. GMT .. +1 hour .. +2 hours ..+3 hours .. |
