ARCADIA -- Three men and a woman from Tampa were arrested in Arcadia Monday afternoon and charged with a variety of offenses, including forgery and grand theft, after the woman is said to have attempted to cash a counterfeit check at a local bank.
Arcadia police identified those charged as:
* Nikita Lynette Adkins, 30, charged with two counts of forgery, two counts of uttering a forged instrument, two counts of scheming to defraud, grand theft and giving a false name.
* Edward L. Grooms, 33, charged with two counts of accessory to uttering a forged instrument, two of accessory to forgery, two of accessory to grand theft, two counts of forgery, uttering a forged instrument and grand theft.
* Maurice Jackson, 30, charged with two counts of accessory to uttering a forged instrument, two of accessory to forgery, two of accessory to grand theft, two counts of forgery, uttering a forged instrument and grand theft. ...
